Hi Friends of Camp Carefree!
We're gearing up for our summer camp weeks and we're SO excited! We have some needs as we plan, and would love your help. Here are 10 ways to help Camp Carefree! Please share this info!
1. Volunteer as a Counselor!
Make a huge, personal difference in the life of a child. You must be 16 and have a love of kids, willingness to work hard, and ability to sign silly songs. :) Volunteer for one week, or all six. Applications are now available! Download, print, fill out and mail in to be approved.
2. Adopt-a-Camper!
Did you know it costs us about $800 to host each camper? And all kids attend for free. We are only able to run Camp Carefree with your support. Donate securely online.
3. Volunteer as a Nurse!
We are especially in need of RNs for Kids and Siblings weeks. Please contact us if you can volunteer for a week. Your family is welcome to join you!
4. Join us for Camp Clean-Up Day April 9th!
This is our big full-day effort to get the grounds and facilities ready for campers. Individuals and groups welcome. Click here for more details.
5. We need a new TRUCK!
Do you have a heavy-duty truck you'd like to donate? Our current Camp truck has more than 300k miles and is on its last leg. Please contact us if you have a truck you'd be willing to give to Carefree.
6. Shop online, save and fund Carefree!
Goodshop is a website that offers discounts at your favorite online stores, and donates money directly to Carefree. Simply sign up and designate us as your cause.
7. Bring (more) FUN to Camp!
Do you have contacts or friends who would volunteer to bring fun activities to entertain our kids this summer? Know a clown who could do a show? A guy with a helicopter to wow us with a touch-down? Maybe you know a celebrity or sports team who might pay a visit? Contact us with your ideas.
8. Shop on Amazon!
