We look forward to seeing you this summer! Remember, campers are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. And your application is not considered final until your Medical Form is received. Attendance in the past is not a guarantee of acceptance.
Camp Carefree holds camping weeks each summer for campers aged 6 to 16.
See Calendar for current dates. Note Camp runs Sunday to Friday each week, with Sunday drop off between 2 - 4pm, and Friday pickup between 3-5pm.
SIBLINGS - well children with a chronically ill sibling
NEURO - epilepsy & neurological disorders
CANCER - leukemia & other cancers, Down syndrome
SPINA BIFIDA - spinal cord disorders & injuries
KIDS - well children with a chronically ill parent
HEMOPHILIA/TURNER'S - bleeding disorders, von Willebrand disease & Turner syndrome
We also welcome our friends from the Piedmont Health Services and Sickle Cell Agency (336.274.1507) and the Multiple Sclerosis Society, who hold summer camps at our facility. The Brain Injury Association (919.833.9634), Hospice, Scouts and many church retreats are also held here. Other organizations rent the camp throughout the year for seminars, conferences and reunions.
